UK Health
According to world health organisation report on April 2021, NCDs are collectively responsible for almost 70% of all deaths worldwide.
Each year, more than 15million people die of NCDs between ages 30-69 years, of which 85% of these premature death occur in low and middle income countries.
In Nigeria, 2.5million people die yearly from NCDs.
UkAged Home is focused on using smart health continuous devices using AI based integrated app to monitor the health status of NCDs in local communities in Nigeria.
These devices are placed in malls, supermarket, local stores in communities making healthcare accessible and affordable to people.
Our solution provides access to smart monitoring devices to different test centres in local communities.
AI based analytics for decision support.
Vital sign measurements
Report of tests from individuals are sent to different stakeholders such as non governmental agencies for proper monitoring and treatment.
Follow up reminders through different channels such as sms, WhatsApp.
Our target population is people from 30 years and above who are living with NCDS.
Most people cannot afford routine health checks due to poverty in most communities and thereby not been able to monitor their health status before degenerating to a chronic condition that might lead to permanent disability or early death.
Health checks done in the communities will be very accessible and affordable . For example, a test of $13 will be done for $1.
This will encourage people to take charge of their health and also imbibe the culture of regular health checks.
In 2019, we had a free health check for older adults in one community in Lagos state,Nigeria and it was discovered that 80% of them had one of the Non communicable diseases and out of the 80%, only 10% had regular health checks.
We want to serve 774 local communities in Nigeria but we have started with Lagos state,Nigeria that has 21 communities by recruiting 2 nurses each from each community to get the database and health history of people from 30years and above.
Our smart devices which measures blood pressure, ECG, blood sugar, kidney, lung diseases etc.will be placed in local stores, market and malls in communities and test will be done periodically and affordable to people those communities.
The devices have been integrated into our AI App.The app sends report of individuals to different stakeholders such as non governmental agencies, doctors, hospitals for continuous monitoring, treatment and follow up.
