Lakota Tiwahe Tipi Project

Culturally reconnecting home and economic prosperity through innovative technologies.

Here on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation our nation faces the very heart of a crisis that has families living below the poverty line and a housing shortage thats under serves the growing population.

The Lakota Tiwahe-(family) Tipi-(place to dwell) Project (LTTP) will be to incorporate our cultural architecture into affordable housing construction with the communities providing a sustainable economic up-start.

LTTP's vision for the project is providing a viable product to the communities helping them utilize innovative solutions to properly sustain a healthy way of life.

LTTP's access to flexible capital is a barrier that can prevent a strong start-up for a sustainable project which can benefit the communities direction in achieving equatable change.

The technology LTTP is utilizing comes from ancient times when our native Tipi cultures needed a efficient way to live in diverse and extreme conditions on the plains.

LTTP's modernization of the Tipi structure has brought an engineering insight as to how the traditional Tipi was constructed of all natural materials that provided a strong, mobile, comfortable, sustainable home.

Our technological heritage is for the advancement of our cultural architecture thru science, engineering and green build applications necessary for the Tipi to have its place again in today's native communities.

LTTP will educate the community on the subjects of energy auditing and conservation of natural resources that can help bring affordability to the local home builders.

LTTP is currently serving the communities thru project presentations that show our vision for a village concept for economic development.

The future goals for the project will be to bring a scaled Tipi to its full potential in the field for a complete product.

LTTP will provide the guide for ownership once our goal of home care is complete in the community organization plan.

Once we establish a workable plan that provides positive results for the owners we can implement it to a broader audience.                                 

One of LTTP's  accomplishments is being part of MIT Solve challenge which is willing to bridge cultures with technological institutes for a better society of cultural innovators.

The second is a potential partnership with the Rosebud Sioux Tribal housing board that has showed interest in the project leading to meetings moving me forward on the village concept.

Third is gaining the support of my tribes finance committee aiding me in producing a plan for the Economic Business Development board power point presentation. 

I'm currently working with Rosebud Sioux Tribe housing board for a potential partnership on constructing our first unit in their indoor facility to bring it to scale.

I would like to work with humanitarian organization building high performances for the communities devastated by natural disasters.
