Ayurvedum

Ayurvedum is a modern revamp of decades old Ayurvedic knowledge hidden in ancient scripture and manuscripts. It contains a vast library of resources including remedies, recipes and guided yoga exercises.

I am trying to make Ayurvedic knowledge which has historical prominence accessible to people around the world in languages they can understand. This would allow for a free of cost access to health care that is completely

The users can utilize my application to find home made recipes that can be used to treat everyday problems like headaches and joint pain. They could use the reminders built into the app to maintain a consistent routine for exercises that can be used as a supplement to the oral remedies. My Solution is a dynamic application that provides users access to Ayurvedic remedies in a way thats easy to access using an intuitive Ui and a website that allows them to access the information using their phone and laptop. The website front end has been coded using React JS, the backend uses a Java based server called Spring-boot and a database called My SQL.

My solution is able to serve a wide ranging audience of users who wish to access Ayurvedic information, yoga exercises and also recipes for the remedies. Since, a lot of these remedies can be made at home, they are extremely cheap to prepare. The ideal target customers would be people from economically disadvantaged and less educated individuals who are unable to convey their issues to a heath professional to seek help. This help includes everything from physical ailments to mental health issues. Due to the interactive nature of the application, the application is designed to serve people from any part of the world.

I am a high school senior and have recently started learning web-development. With the help from another friend who works at Tesla, I have started to make a prototype for the mobile website. I am originally from India who has personally, seen the positive impact of Ayurveda remedies. During my childhood I had a very low immunity and so had to rely on Ayurvedic solutions due to the sustainability of the support it provides which was something both Allopathic and Homeopathic medicines can’t rival. My team mate, is from Canada and he also supports my vision. I was particularly motivated to start this project in lieu of the recent medical condition my mom was affected by. Since, the detection of her breast cancer I was deeply worried especially because she had never been diagnosed using a mammogram before. Thus, I wanted to provide an accessible solution for Ayurvedic remedies.

My research is currently limited to life experiences both personally and within my family which I aim to solve using the application I will build.
