Bias leads to intolerance. Intolerance leads to discrimination. Discrimination harms individual health, social growth, and economic output. Creating sticky floors and glass ceilings it decreases social inclusion and reduces social justice and shared prosperity.

Using big data, AI, NLP-based sentiment analysis BIASLESS will detect unconscious bias and turn it into a tool for peer-to-peer/AI-to-peer intolerance extirpation (being a part of media CMS, the social media network, MS Office, Google products, etc.)

It will grow from hate speech detection up to bias recognition and cover gender issues first and after that add ethnicity, race and color, age, religion, appearance, and disability.

Biasless is responding to the Solve community aims to find and support tech-based solutions to ensure citizens and communities create and improve social inclusion and shared prosperity and to create or advance equitable and inclusive economic growth across geographies and demographics.

What is the problem you are solving?

Bias and discrimination affect people's opportunities, well-being, and health all over the world. Shame, low self-esteem, fear, stress result in numerous physical and mental health effects such as depression, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, etc. For instance, depression affects around one in 12 of the whole population. 

Discrimination evokes cases when laws don't protect people from racist violence, domestic violence or attacks because of their religion or sexual orientation. 

Talented people are dissuaded from entering the economy.  

Due to Mckinsey, in a “full potential” scenario in which women play an identical role in labor markets to that of men, as much as $28 trillion, or 26 percent, could be added to global annual GDP by 2025. Decrease of racism, ageism, homophobia can easily triple the number.

As far as the concept is scalable in 2 dimensions: issues (gender, race, age, etc.) and extent of discriminative behavior (from hate speech to unconscious bias) and it can cover major languages of the world, 5+ billion people can win from the project in 10+ years perspective. Gender aspect Biasless will start covering the first will produce benefits to over 3 billion women all over the world.

Who are you serving?

All 7+ billion people on Earth are biased. At least half of them experience discrimination. Even more deal with conscious or unconscious bias.

Since 2011, I made gender equality and tolerance embracing topics strategic and integral part of media company I've been working for.  

We launched a media for moms in business - womo.ua and Smart Happy Elegant Congress (she.delo.ua). We made 2 anti-sexists viral campaigns (http://mmr.ua/show/coming_out_sozdateli_ssu__she_congress#1602485347.1485530687), launched Gender Vocabulary (http://womo.ua/tag/slovar-gendernyih-ponyatiy/)

Via media we consistently cover topics and share role models promoting women’s leadership/political participation, women’s economic empowerment, ending violence against women and girls, people with disabilities, LGBTI, Men advocating for gender equality.

In 2018 I became a board member of LGBTQ NGO Fulcrum. I build bridges between the NGO and business community in Ukraine.

Being a gender equality activist, I conduct at least 2 speeches per month to different communities (from teens and students to business people) on gender equality and SDGs promotion within our society 

So I know needs of the minorities and used to participate in the solution via media. Now we need to expand and to make our influence more significant and effective.
