Our traditional lifeways are in danger of being forgotten, as our elder Tribal members are our best practitioners and memory keepers. We are in a race against time, we are in a race against memory loss.

When a tribal member passes on, it's like we're losing a library, a wealth of knowledge that cannot be replaced. 

We know that certain sights, even smells or taste can spark intense memory recall, if we partner this involuntary olfactory sensation with a voluntary verbal prompt, we may be able to capture a fuller picture of our cultural knowledge from our Elder.

Tribal members ages 55 and older, of any tribe or indigenous community.

Through Virtual Reality, we will take tribal elders to their sacred spaces to combat cultural memory loss and promote learning and practice of the next generations.

We are enrolled members of our Tribe, and we live and work in our tribal communities every day. 

We need help in the technology and financial aspects of this project.

Patricia is an enrolled member of the Nez Perce tribe, and serves her community as a grant writer, fundraiser and traditional Native foods gatherer and protector.
