Over 20 million people on this planet are feeding on plastics! The analog and inefficient nature of the current waste collection system in Ghana and most developing countries is a total mess, leaking a lot of produced plastic waste into water bodies and, eventually, onto widely enjoyed seafood plates. Ishara seeks to digitize this waste collection system with a mobile app that connects plastic users and waste pickers directly to recycling companies by incentivizing recycling. This will create an all-inclusive, transparent and traceable system where no one is left behind in the plastic fight.
