Improve the SRH outcomes of young people

 Borena is one of the pastoralist zones where people are sparsely distributed and accessing to health facility and school is very difficult, especially for in adolescent girls. Noticing this, the zonal administration has around -40 hostels where 8000 female and male students live in a group out of their families. While hotels provide access to schooling, they predispose adolescents and youth to shoulder social problems and less support from their families, and most adolescent girls pass through difficulty during their puberty. This is further aggravated by poor access to SRHR information and service in the hostels or nearby health facilities that provide youth friendly services. Schools also don not have standard curriculum to equip students with the knowledge and skills to support such students in avoiding health services, provide safe space for menstrual management. Students also have low self-efficacy to negotiate, decide or financially address their SHRR needs

• Capacity building training: Provide Capacity building training for school club on SLE (school life skill training) and menstrual hygiene management (MHM). School teacher will trainee TOT on life school training and cascade this training for school club and woreda level youth advisory council at intervention sites.
• Peer dialogue support: Support peer to peer dialog via woreda youth advisory counselling members and interns. woreda level youth advisory council will facilitate peer to peer dialog based on SBCC guideline and disseminate SRH information for hostiles and boarding school adolescent and youth in the intervention area.
• Outreach Service: linking with nearby health facilities, support comprehensive reproductive health services, education, counseling, and access to contraceptives for hostels and Bordering Schools adolescent and youth.
• Provide access to MHM products: Purchase and distribute sanitary pad for adolescent girls in the hostels and boarding schools which might ensure their dignity and decrease school drop-out rate in the intervention site 

• Adolescent and youth attending secondary school and in hostels and Boarding schools in Borena zones.
• 20 Adolescent and youth groups and interns in the selected woredas of Borena Zones 

The group is had very good voluntary experience and ready to implement the activity planned by this project
