Pakistan is one of the developing country with its population 235 million about 60% live in rural areas and the rural population affected by severe floods 2010, 2016 and now the floods 2022 submerged one third of the country, affecting 33 million people, half of whom were children. the floods damaged most of the water systems in affected areas, forcing more than 5.4 million people solely rely on contaminated water from ponds, wells and water channels and Cholera outbreak in Sindh and Baluchistan in almost affected by Cholera and water borne diseases some 12 districts in Baluchistan and 10 districts in Sindh affected by floods. these 22 districts facing crises over health and food and shelter. 

AHD working in Sindh and Baluchistan and helping rural people with safe drinking water and smoke free cooking stove and kitchen gardening activities but rural people demands of Nadi filter solution & AHD working to help these flood affected families with Nadi filter solution that they can have access to safe and clean drinking water

AHD Nadi filter serve the people who drinking contaminated water and affected by Cholera, Nadi filter provides safe and clean drinking water and people who trained and skilled with Nadi filter training use it long term and it impacts healthy living on their lives, since 2006 AHD started with one 01 Nadi filter now about 355,000 running and helping rural poor communities' to get safe and clean drinking water at their households level on daily basis. 

 Pakistan is poor country where 80% rural population suffering with lack of safe drinking water and sanitation and there is urgent needs to promote such activities work long term and help for lifetime to end the crises of drinking contamination water in rural areas 

IN flood 2022 affected 33 million people and needs urgent basis to help million people with such Nadi filter that they can have opportunity to get safe and clean drinking water. 

AHD Pakistan doing it and helping every year 4,000 to 5,000 but needs to reach millions to help them with safe and clean drinking water and bring hope for the people to live sustainable life 

The public good in Nadi filter is Safe & Clean Drinking water and that water people drinking daily and weeks, months and years then they enjoy and celebrates Nadi filter as no sickness and no any water borne diseases 

The innovation of AHD Nadi filter technology contributed in drinking water crises to the community that they have now opportunity to get clean and safe drinking water by filtering from Nadi filter unit. Nadi filter unit filter water from 98 to 100% removal of biological contamination.

The filter is simply an optimized residence for the “good microbes” that eat up the microbes that cause diseases. The filter is designed to protect the good microbes in the sand which would be destroyed if the sand was allowed to be churned up or drained of water. They require a stable surface to live on with a constant supply of dirty water and oxygen to feed on.  The sand in the filter provides an enormous surface area for them to live on and they multiply to fill this space. This takes two to three weeks to establish.  In the mean time the water is far better than before even after a day or two.

AHD Pakistan goal for UN SDG # 6 to achieve quickly targets to one million Nadi filters for one million poor families and about 6.3 million people will have safe and clean drinking water till 2030, this is the goal of AHD Pakistan.

AHD Pakistan presently reached 345,000 families and about 2,173,500 about 2.2 million people getting benefit and happy to get safe and clean water at their doorsteps.  

AHD strategy for the next years is to reach those communities in Pakistan & Africa, where people don’t have access to clean drinking water and those who sufferings from Cholera Outbreak and other water borne diseases. AHD will find such areas and provides them approximate 20,000 to 30,000 Nadi filter units with TOT trainings in one  year. in the coming three to years target will be 100,000 approximately and from 2023 to 2030 the targets is to reach one million.

AHD doing its efforts to reach vulnerable and poor indigenous people, however Nadi filter solution is the key friendly for rural poor communities' and lifetime solution with long term impacts. 

AHD team helping most poor and deserving rural poor communities' and supporting them with skills and solutions, in the past 17 years AHD measure great impact on rural poor communities' and thousands find using Nadi filter since 10 to 12 years and many more using this Nadi filter. 

in Urban areas of Hyderabad many as using Nadi filter and through out their market filters, they share that market filters needs to change elements after three months and many filter unfunctional due to lack of funds 

AHD Nadi filter is highly acceptable and famous in the rural communities' and there is no sickness or gastero or diheria found in the families using Nadi filter water

each year AHD reached 15000 to 20000 families and now this target day by day increasing on the high demand of rural poor communities' 

AHD suffering with funds shortage  after COVID-19 and floods 2022 and wars and disasters as funds used for temporary emergency situation and people suffer with drinking contaminated water at every where \

the news papers filled with news articles that Cholera Outbreak in Pakistan and African countries after floods 2022 some 33 million displaced and they all drinking contaminated water and looking for help 

the major barrier for AHD to travel Africa and stay there, AHD needs support to open filed offices in African countries and hire and trained local staff to make assure to reach most vulnerable and needs people around Pakistan and Africa
