Addressing the profound underrepresentation and exclusion of individuals with disabilities, including those who are neurodivergent—people with conditions like autism, ADHD, or dyslexia—is the core of our mission. Astonishingly, around 1 billion people worldwide, or 15% of the global population, live with some form of disability. This includes a significant number of neurodivergent individuals who face countless challenges in gaining recognition and equal opportunities.
Many of these individuals reside in developing countries, where nearly 80% of disabled people struggle for basic access and opportunities, as highlighted by the World Bank. Their exclusion from meaningful participation in society not only diminishes their potential contributions but also perpetuates systemic inequality.
Besides the pervasive stigma, there is a severe lack of both physical and digital accessibility, limited educational and employment opportunities, and blatant discrimination. Misconceptions about the abilities of disabled individuals often marginalize their voices, especially in critical areas that affect societal advancement.
To address these challenges, our initiative has embraced innovative solutions such as the Livox app and Livox Store, utilizing artificial intelligence to dismantle barriers and enhance communication for those who have been sidelined. Take the employment sector, for example. Many neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with autism, find it incredibly difficult to secure and maintain jobs due to communication barriers and insufficient support in the workplace. Yet, only 22% of autistic adults in the UK are employed full-time, highlighting a glaring gap in inclusion.
Research consistently shows that people with autism bring unique and valuable skills to the workforce, such as exceptional attention to detail, remarkable pattern recognition, and strong analytical thinking. By creating avenues for people with disabilities to apply their skills, we are not just advocating for inclusion; we are tapping into a wealth of untapped potential that can significantly contribute to societal transformation.
Our commitment is to forge a world where every individual, regardless of their abilities, has the opportunity to participate fully and effectively. This goal aligns with the core values of inclusion, empowerment, and social justice, ensuring that all voices, particularly those historically marginalized, are heard and valued in the creation of a more just and equitable society.
Our initiative, "The Changemakers Unheard," is a game-changer in using AI to amplify the voices of individuals with disabilities. Our platform empowers these individuals to actively engage in solving global social issues, such as climate change, women's empowerment, and combating racism.
At the core of our mission is the Livox platform. Initially crafted to aid non-verbal individuals through augmentative and alternative communication, Livox has evolved. We saw the potential beyond mere communication—our users are insightful, and bursting with creative solutions for some of the world's pressing challenges.
Enter the Livox Store—where users not only consume but also create content. Initially, the primary content creators were parents, but we've taken it further. We started hosting workshops tailored for neurodivergent children, integrating Generative AI technology similar to ChatGPT into Livox. This technology simplifies content creation, allowing users to input ideas that are transformed into engaging, multimedia content.

Important: the child still needs to type their ideas into Livox AI and also, needs to edit the content to reflect their solutions for these problems. However, this feature allows even the most challenged neurodivergent person to contribute to these important conversations.
A child with autism can simply ask Livox to create an image, or cards for the content he/she is creating. The child can use natural language and Livox uses Generative AI to generate content. Livox is not creating the content itself. It provides the backbones and multimedia resources that those children need. They no longer need to search Google for images, sounds, or inspiration. Ultimately, the content is inspired by the child and Livox acts as a tool to facilitate the content creation. It's the children's voices that we are hearing through these pieces of content.

Hundreds of content are created by neurodivergent children in the Livox Store.
The outcomes are nothing short of inspiring. Neurodivergent children have produced hundreds of content. This success opened our eyes to a bigger picture—these children can contribute meaningful solutions to societal issues. They're creating content that tackles women's empowerment, addresses climate change, and challenges racial prejudices, turning their unique perspectives into powerful tools for social change.
Our solution doesn't just stop at content creation. We want to empower 1,000 neurodivergent changemakers and highlight them at the next Solve at MIT.
Through workshops and mentorship, we provide continuous support, helping our changemakers refine their ideas and share them globally.
By marrying advanced technology with the unique insights of the neurodivergent community, we're not just giving them a voice—we're listening to it, amplifying it, and letting it guide us toward a more inclusive and equitable world.
Our initiative, "The Changemakers Unheard," focuses on elevating the voices of 1,000 neurodivergent changemakers—individuals whose unique perspectives are often overlooked in mainstream dialogues. This platform is not just about providing a space for expression; it's about dismantling the systemic barriers that have historically silenced these vital voices, particularly in conversations about pressing societal issues like climate change, women’s empowerment, and anti-racism efforts.
The individuals we serve are frequently marginalized due to a complex matrix of societal stigmas, inaccessible environments (both physical and digital), and discriminatory practices that actively exclude them from meaningful societal participation. These barriers significantly hinder their access to education, employment, healthcare, and robust social engagement, effectively sidelining them from community life and the decision-making processes that shape it.
Nobody thought they could consume, let alone, produce content. We proved them wrong!
By integrating advanced AI-driven content creation tools into the Livox platform, our solution directly counters these challenges. We equip neurodivergent individuals with the means to overcome communication hurdles and express themselves in transformative ways that were previously beyond reach. This technology does more than facilitate expression; it empowers our users to reshape narratives around their capabilities and contributions.
The impact of "The Changemakers Unheard" is multifaceted:
- Enhanced Agency and Self-Expression: We provide a stage for individuals to voice their ideas, stories, and solutions, fostering self-esteem and confidence. This empowerment is crucial, not only for personal growth but also for advocating broader societal change.
- Community and Connection: Our platform also acts as a community hub where neurodivergent individuals find solidarity and support. It’s a space for forming connections that bolster both emotional resilience and social inclusion.
- Driving Societal Change: By spotlighting their unique insights on issues like climate action, gender equality, and dismantling racism, we challenge prevailing biases and champion a more inclusive, equitable society.
