Film your elevator pitch.
What specific problem are you solving?
More than 1 billion people worldwide experience abuse and exploitation, yet only a fraction receive the support they need. Systems are overwhelmed, the scale of abuse is growing, and most never receive care. Those who do are too often met with approaches that overlook their strengths, priorities, and voice.
What is your solution?
Freedom Lifemap is a technology-based, survivor-centered assessment and planning tool. After a decade of direct service, supporting thousands of survivors and keeping 95% safe from re-victimization, we built Freedom Lifemap, a human-centered, tech platform that makes effective, individualized care accessible to everyone, everywhere, and helps communities prevent abuse and exploitation. Through Freedom Lifemap, we help people guide their own healing and help agencies deliver coordinated, efficient care, creating a future where safety and long-term stability are within reach for every person, while strengthening systems and communities to prevent future harms.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Freedom Lifemap is designed to help the more than a billion people worldwide who experience abuse and exploitation receive the support they need for safety, healing, and long-term stability. This includes survivors of trafficking, exploitation, and gender-based violence, as well as at-risk populations, including economically disadvantaged communities, street-connected youth, children in care systems, and displaced populations. Users include individuals (ages 13+) supported through frontline and institutional care providers. Our participants are 72% female, and 41% are between the ages of 13 and 17. For individuals, FLM restores agency: participants lead their own healing journey, resulting in a 38% increase in well-being and 50% reduction in vulnerability within one year. For care providers, FLM boosts case manager productivity by 48%, enabling them to support more people, more effectively. At the systems level, every person's journey contributes to a smarter, stronger system, locally and globally, strengthening care everywhere.
