Approximately 58.4 million primary school-aged children are not attending school, representing 8% of the 787 million children in that category (Our World in Data). Over 600 million children worldwide do not reach minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, despite two-thirds being enrolled in school (UNICEF). These figures indicate a significant proportion of the global population lacks access to quality education, due to financial resources, inadequate infrastructure, or other socioeconomic barriers. Globally, 67% of students fail to graduate on time, limiting access to professional opportunities and delaying workforce entry (OEI, 2023). It affects over 235 million students annually (UNESCO & CEPAL, 2023). The lack of personalized tools, real-time feedback, and adaptive methodologies contributes significantly to this issue. In Latin America, vulnerable communities face barriers such as limited internet access, inadequate teacher training, and insufficient infrastructure. These gaps exacerbate skill deficits, as 55% of frontline workers lack essential competencies, causing a global economic loss of $8.5 trillion (IDB, 2023). Students with learning differences, including cognitive disabilities, are disproportionately affected due to a lack of inclusive resources. The crisis extends beyond academics, influencing employability, socio-economic mobility, and personal development worldwide.
What is your solution?
Project-based learning platform powered by AI and Big Data. It analyzes performance and preferences of users with learning differences (including disabilities). It collects data to enable informed decision-making, ensuring privacy, accessibility, and continuous improvement. For example, if a user faces difficulties, it adjusts content to include specific tutorials, tools, and recommendations tailored to their learning process, gathering data for teachers, institutions, and public resources. Tesis Time operates through a mobile app and web platform, enabling flexible learning anytime, anywhere. It fosters active learning with real-time feedback and an intuitive help forum for peer and educator support. The platform offers diverse educational materials like eBooks, audiobooks, templates, and video tutorials. Customizable content is tailored for industries, governments, universities, and schools. Real-time learning statistics track progress, while personalized rankings (regional, national, international) motivate students. Automatic notifications keep learners engaged, and teacher profiles allow for task assignments and performance monitoring.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Tesis Time primarily benefits K-12 and university students, especially those from vulnerable communities and those with learning differences (including dyslexia, ADHD, and other conditions). Currently, these students face barriers such as limited resources, a lack of personalized educational support, and insufficient real-time feedback, which hinder academic progress and contribute to higher dropout rates. Our platform, powered by artificial intelligence and Big Data, provides a comprehensive solution that adapts educational content to each student's needs and pace. By identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, the platform offers personalized tutorials, tools, and materials that enhance understanding and academic performance. Additionally, it enables teachers and supervisors to monitor progress and adjust pedagogical strategies in real time, fostering a more equitable and tailored learning environment. As a result, Tesis Time not only accelerates learning and reduces graduation times but also empowers students by boosting their confidence and opening up opportunities for higher education and better career prospects. Ultimately, the solution has the potential to transform lives by promoting holistic development and socioeconomic progress in traditionally underserved communities.
