What specific problem are you solving?
Boon-dah Learning is tackling the literacy crisis among elementary students with dyslexia by enhancing fluency and comprehension at the critical stage when they transition from learning to read to reading to learn.
Dyslexia affects 1 in 5 children globally, yet most teachers lack the training and tools to support struggling readers effectively. In the U.S., only 4% of fourth-grade students with dyslexia achieve reading comprehension proficiency, underscoring the urgent need for improved instructional strategies. Additionally, two-thirds of elementary teachers report needing effective tools and training to improve fluency and comprehension instruction.
Traditional reading programs often overemphasize phonics, neglecting the essential elements of fluency, comprehension, and content knowledge. This issue is particularly severe in under-resourced schools, where teachers have limited access to specialized dyslexia training and research-based interventions. The gap is even wider for English Language Learners (ELLs) and students from low-income backgrounds, who often have limited access to effective literacy interventions. Without proper support, students with dyslexia face long-term academic struggles.
By transforming literacy instruction and involving parents in literacy development, Boon-dah Learning is bridging the global literacy gap, helping students with dyslexia become confident, capable readers.
What is your solution?
DysLexi: Fluency Builder is an AI-driven intervention program that equips educators with research-backed strategies and tools to support grades 3–5 students with dyslexia, strengthening their reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence through personalized, data-informed instruction.
Grounded in the 5E instructional model, it engages students with read-alouds, podcasts, and discussions, fosters exploration through hands-on inquiry, strengthens fluency through writing activities, deepens learning with content-rich Reader’s Theater, and evaluates progress through formative and summative assessments.
Instead of relying solely on phonics-based instruction, DysLexi incorporates multisensory-based intervention strategies, encouraging oral reading, readers theater, and structured engagement with content—proven methods to improve fluency, comprehension, and confidence.
Through innovative teacher training workshops, Boon-dah Learning provides educators with evidence-based strategies, structured lesson plans, and fluency-building techniques that integrate science content into literacy instruction.
Students benefit from AI-driven fluency interventions, using natural language processing to create Reader’s Theater scripts that enhance engagement and literacy. Text-to-speech, progress tracking, and adaptive exercises personalize learning, enabling teachers to tailor instruction and monitor student progress for fluency and comprehension growth.

Boon-dah Learning empowers educators with the training, tools, and technology needed to implement DysLexi: Fluency Builder, an AI-driven intervention program that transforms fluency instruction for grades 3–5 students with dyslexia.
Nearly two-thirds of elementary educators report feeling underprepared to support students with dyslexia, especially in building fluency and comprehension. Traditional literacy programs often focus solely on phonics, overlooking evidence-based strategies that support deeper reading development. This gap is even more pronounced in under-resourced schools, disproportionately affecting English Language Learners (ELLs) and students from low-income backgrounds who lack access to effective interventions.
DysLexi addresses these challenges through comprehensive professional development and an AI-powered platform that analyzes oral reading fluency in real time, enabling teachers to deliver personalized instruction. The curriculum includes content-rich Readers Theater, storytelling, multisensory learning, and assistive technologies such as audiobooks and text-to-speech to create dynamic, performance-based reading experiences.
Teachers learn to integrate fluency-building strategies with science content while fostering inclusive classroom environments. DysLexi also promotes parental engagement and community advocacy to combat stigma and build collective support for students with dyslexia.
By combining innovative AI tools with proven instructional practices, DysLexi turns reading from a struggle into a pathway to lifelong learning and success.
