What specific problem are you solving?
The rising unemployment rate in Indonesia, particularly due to mass layoffs, has become a significant national issue. According to data from the Ministry of Manpower, from 2020 to 2024, 4,260,000 workers experienced layoffs, highlighting the long-lasting impact of the post-pandemic economic downturn. This issue affects both urban and rural areas, leaving many workers struggling to re-enter the workforce.
One of the key challenges worsening this situation is the limited access to upskilling programs, especially for those in areas with poor internet connectivity. Rapid changes in industry demands due to automation and digital transformation have also left many workers behind.
The government actually has an upskilling program called Prakerja, of which we are a part. However, government programs typically have a fixed duration, and their continuity is often uncertain.
This issue must be urgently addressed because prolonged unemployment not only affects individuals but also weakens economic stability and social well-being. Without intervention, millions of laid-off workers risk falling into long-term unemployment, which leads to financial insecurity, reduced productivity, and increased poverty levels. By providing accessible and scalable skills development programs, we can bridge the gap and empower displaced workers to secure sustainable employment.
What is your solution?
We provide a technology-driven learning platform designed to enhance employability and entrepreneurship skills through the lingkaran Prakerja Program in partnership with the government. Our mobile-friendly Learning Management System (LMS) ensures seamless access to education, even for workers affected by layoffs in areas with limited internet connectivity and underserved communities. Our LMS is designed to be mobile-friendly and optimized for low-bandwidth access, ensuring that learners in areas with limited internet connectivity can still participate effectively. Through Digital Learning Content, learners can access structured materials in a format that minimizes data usage.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
As one of the partners in the government’s Prakerja Program, we aim to serve 1,000,000 participants by providing learning opportunities through the Prakerja program within our ecosystem, designed to meet industry needs.
In addressing the rising layoff rates in Indonesia, our primary aim is to support workers affected by layoffs. Our secondary aim focuses on individuals who wish to enhance their skills to apply for jobs, targeting the entire population of Indonesia, especially those living in remote and economically disadvantaged areas.
We are committed to serving the people of Indonesia, particularly those in remote and low-income areas, ensuring they have easy access to learning through our LMS technology. Our lightweight, mobile-friendly LMS allows users to learn anytime, anywhere.
