What specific problem are you solving?
AI is rapidly transforming education, yet there is no scalable system to help educators learn, adapt, and lead in this shift. While 79% of teens use AI tools often, only 3% of teachers report regular AI use in classrooms, and 32% of schools have banned generative AI altogether. This mismatch means that millions of educators are left behind, unable to develop the skills needed to guide students in an AI-driven world.
Current professional learning models—workshops, webinars, and self-paced courses—are too slow, too isolated, and too small-scale to keep up with AI’s rapid evolution. Educational systems lack the internal structures to scale AI learning across schools, forcing teachers to rely on outdated training models that don’t meet the urgency or complexity of this shift. This disproportionately affects under-resourced schools, where teachers have less access to AI training and fewer opportunities to collaborate with peers.
Globally, this issue impacts 94 million educators and 1.5 billion students. Without a scalable, structured way for educators to learn together, AI will deepen existing inequalities—determining who gets to thrive in an AI-driven world and who gets left behind.
What is your solution?
sideby is a platform that helps educators build AI fluency through short, guided 1:1 conversations. Teachers are matched for real-time peer learning sessions, where they reflect on their use of AI in teaching, share practical strategies, and surface insights together. These structured conversations are intentionally brief and lightweight—designed to support ongoing learning without adding to educators’ workload.
The platform uses generative AI to enhance—not replace—human connection. AI helps generate conversation prompts, synthesize takeaways, and analyze emerging trends across the community. Every match becomes part of a growing network of insight around what’s actually working in classrooms.
Unlike static professional development models, sideby is responsive, relational, and designed to evolve with the pace of AI. It empowers educators to lead change from within their own context—while building collective knowledge across the field.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
sideby serves K-12 educators worldwide, providing a structured, scalable way to build AI fluency and adapt to education’s rapid transformation. Educators face growing pressure to integrate AI, yet most lack access to collaborative, real-time learning opportunities.
Traditional professional development is slow, isolated, and unable to scale, leaving teachers to navigate AI integration without a system designed for continuous, peer-driven learning. While some schools provide AI training, access is unequal, with many educators left behind due to resource gaps, inconsistent policies, or a lack of clear guidance.
sideby provides a networked approach to AI learning, where educators engage in structured, AI-powered discussions with peers. The platform matches teachers based on shared challenges, curates learning prompts, and extracts insights from conversations—creating a real-time, evolving knowledge base.
By 2026, 50,000 educators will have engaged with sideby, growing a global network of teachers learning and leading together. Teachers in our network will be equipped to lead AI adoption in classrooms rather than struggling to catch up. sideby makes AI learning accessible, collaborative, and built to grow—so no educator is left behind.
