Foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes are on the decline with 9/10 and 8/10 of children unable to meet minimum proficiency levels in literacy and numeracy respectively by the end of primary school. The following factors contribute heavily to the decline of the learning outcomes: - Limited Teacher Training & Support: Teachers lacked structured lesson plans, making classroom instruction inconsistent. - Ineffective Classroom Supervision & Monitoring: No real-time feedback mechanism for teachers to improve their instruction. - Teachers' overall well being including mental health and financial stability is not well taken care of. On average teachers spend 8 minutes on actual instruction in a 40 minute lesson.
