The high drop out rate within the reservation for the last few generations has created a education gap for the community to help curb the social ills generated from the high rate of poverty and access to healthy foods that help with barriers to learning proficiency.

Tipi Tech also represents a prototype geo-metric structure designed by myself Chris Cuny as to which was meant to help build a safer and affordable housing on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation utilizing the local work force. The new modern designed Tipi will help develop the future learning labs helping the community access GED curriculum and the trades intro for the person seeking a skill. The Tipi's modular structure design will be the template for a future site build which will be a representation of the peoples skills program once we reach that level of construction development.

My current target market are the people from the ages of 12- 60 who are wanting to engage in an innovative solutions approach to a more sustainable life in self improvement. Our youth engagement is in need of a more hands on approach when building of an idea or dream that needs a support system to help develop their skills. The adults may have dropped out of high school because of personal and lack of a traditional social infrastructure that stopped them from pursuing their dream of doing something greater than themselves. Tipi Tech will build a team from the peoples skills program offered to the community who are willing to make that change in their lives and give them the ability to help their fellow person in the community by empowering them with a new set of life skills and hope for a more achievable future.
