Zendawa is solving the critical issue of medicine accessibility and affordability by enabling neighborhood pharmacies to operate efficiently through digital solutions. In Africa, over 50% of people lack reliable access to essential medicines, with 80% of medicines dispensed by informal and small pharmacies facing inventory and financing challenges. Globally, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 2 billion people lack access to essential medicines, leading to preventable deaths and poor health outcomes. Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Neighbourhood pharmacies. They are characterised by operating in health clinics, estates as well as petrol stations. They hold 80% SKU as pharmaceutical products with 2-5 employees. By working with 820 pharmacies and 7800 active end-users, we enhance medicine availability, reduce stockouts, and improve affordability. Our AI-driven demand prediction minimizes wastage, while credit-scoring AI expands access to financing for small pharmacies. These innovations bridge healthcare gaps, ensuring life-saving medicines reach those in need efficiently and sustainably.
