What specific problem are you solving?
The Phoenix Project is providing access to knowledge resources, job and funding opportunities through our intuitive learning management system, program design and a vast network of industry experts; for young adults, creatives and creative entrepreneurs interested and invested in the creative industry.
With Nigeria's population at 237 million people, about 2 million youths graduate from secondary education annually and only about a quarter are able to gain admission into tertiary institutions leaving over 1.5 million youths unable to gain access to gainful education or employment. Also according to the National Bureau of statistics, about 50% of the graduated individuals gain meaningful employment even after completing their tertiary education; also leaving a huge number of youths unemployed. Certain factors contribute to these challenges and they include infrastructural deficiencies and mismanagement, funding, language barriers and lack of access to education and many more.
This is why The Phoenix Project was designed to effectively mitigate these challenges by providing access to quality education, learning opportunities, vocational training, skill acquisition, job creation and funding opportunities for the Nigerian youths and Africa at large.
What is your solution?
The Phoenix Project Solution is a learning platform for creatives. The solution provides access to learning resource through our intuitive learning management system which houses about 15 creative courses that learners can access and learn from the different course bundles. The Phoenix Project uses a technology built with React.js, Vue.js, and Flutter which makes the platform very accessible across devices, enhancing user engagement. It is also Integrated with Zoom SDK, Big Blue Button, and Jitsi, enabling real-time interactive learning and it utilizes AWS S3, Cloud Front, and adaptive streaming (HLS, MPEG-DASH) for smooth media playback. The system also supports SCORM Cloud API, ensuring compatibility with industry-standard e-learning formats.
Our program design provides further training on entrepreneurship and employability whilst providing job opportunities and business funding opportunities to the learners.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
The solution serves the Youths, creatives, creative entrepreneurs within 18 to 35 age bracket interested and invested in the creative industry. These are individuals who are currently unable access meaningful education, individuals who are currently unemployed, individuals who are looking to access learning opportunities, individuals who are looking to access funding for their business.
Some of these individuals are currently located in areas with a lesser access to such learning opportunities. As earlier stated, these learners or creatives have been underserved by having a limited access to education, job opportunities and business funding and the solution would address these needs by providing the learners with access to resources and tools to learn the different course bundles we have curated on the learning platform.
