What specific problem are you solving?
By 2050, one in four people in Latin America and the Caribbean will be over 60. Globally, the population over 60 will reach 2.1 billion. Despite their experience, older adults face systemic exclusion from the labor market. They are often considered “too old to learn, too slow to adapt.” Ageism, outdated skills, and technology-driven hiring platforms that ignore their profiles prevent them from accessing dignified work. As a result, many are economically dependent, underutilized, and invisibilized.
This is not only a social justice issue—it’s an untapped economic opportunity. In Colombia alone, more than 3.5 million seniors live without stable income. Yet, most employment and training programs are not designed for them.
The problem is compounded by low digital literacy, lack of tailored upskilling, and few flexible job opportunities aligned with their pace and needs.
SeniorSkill AI addresses this gap by turning digital exclusion into digital opportunity. It creates an intelligent pathway for older adults to access training, boost their confidence, and connect with dignified income opportunities—redefining who belongs in the future of work.
What is your solution?
SeniorSkill AI is a human-centered platform that uses artificial intelligence to help older adults transition into digital work. It transforms their experience into income by guiding them through a personalized journey: from skills assessment to training, and from learning to job placement.
The platform operates through AI agents that simulate a personal coach. It begins by analyzing a user’s work history, strengths, and learning preferences. Based on this, it suggests a customized reskilling plan and auto-enrolls users in short, accessible digital courses. As users progress, the AI matches them with micro-jobs that align with their profile, availability, and goals—like data tagging, transcription, virtual assistance, or content moderation.
Key features:
AI Career Mapping: Detects viable digital job paths based on past experience.
Adaptive Microlearning: Courses adjust to user’s digital level and pace.
Smart Job Matching: Real-time application to flexible, remote gigs.
Continuous Feedback Loop: Learns from outcomes to improve next steps.
Built on modular cloud architecture, SeniorSkill AI is scalable, inclusive, and designed for low digital literacy users. It removes the barriers that prevent older adults from fully participating in the digital economy.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
We serve adults aged 50+, especially women, migrants, and people with disabilities across Latin America and the Caribbean. These are people with decades of experience but excluded from economic systems that idolize youth and speed. Traditional job markets overlook them. Government programs don’t prioritize them. Digital platforms aren’t built for them.
As a result, they face rising financial insecurity, social invisibility, and mental health challenges. Many feel like their potential has expired. We disagree.
SeniorSkill AI is designed to restore their place in the economy and society. Through personalized AI-powered learning and real income opportunities, we help them update their skills, rebuild confidence, and access flexible work that matches their life stage.
Women who were caregivers now become digital assistants. Retired technicians become data labelers. Displaced workers find a second act.
The impact is profound: economic agency, digital inclusion, and renewed purpose. And as more seniors thrive, public systems ease and communities grow stronger.
