The tree tracker is addressing the lack of direct financial inclusion, as well as the limited social and environmental impact, and the increasing threat to biodiversity; many Indigenous tree species are on the brink of extinction due to habitat destruction. Millions of subsistence farmers around the world struggle to survive on less than a dollar a day, perpetuating cycles of poverty for themselves and their families.

The Treetracker app provides a platform that empowers subsistence farmers living in extreme poverty to earn sustainable incomes through tree cultivation. Greenstand, the organization behind Treetracker, focuses on alleviating poverty as the primary solution. Treetracker contributes to economic empowerment by offering a global market for digital tokens, enabling farmers to generate additional revenue. At the same time, it helps protect endangered tree species and promotes sustainable land management practices that benefit local communities and the environment. Treetracker ensures that the impact of the planting efforts is accurately measured and verified.
