What specific problem are you solving?
In Brazil, 56% of teachers have never received training to adapt learning activities for students with disabilities, and 39% report needing to do it daily, often without proper tools. As a result, students with learning differences face severe educational exclusion—many struggle to follow traditional materials, leading to increased dropout rates and poor academic performance.
Our research shows that teachers typically adapt activities for six students, with an average of three neurodivergent students per classroom. Yet, these adaptations are time-consuming and inconsistent, making personalized learning nearly impossible at scale.
Without accessible educational materials, students with disabilities experience lower engagement and comprehension, reinforcing inequality in education. This issue is even more critical in low-income communities, where resources are scarce.
To ensure true inclusion in education, teachers need scalable, easy-to-use tools that automate adaptations while maintaining educational quality. Para Casa Inclusivo directly addresses this urgent need.
What is your solution?
Para Casa Inclusivo is an AI-powered platform that helps teachers instantly adapt school activities for students with disabilities and learning differences. Using generative AI (GPT-4o mini and DALL-E 3), it transforms traditional materials into accessible formats, such as simplified text, pictograms, structured layouts, and visual aids.
Teachers upload a school activity in text, image, or PDF format. The AI analyzes and reformats the content based on learning accessibility principles, making it easier for neurodivergent students to engage. The platform also offers customization options, allowing teachers to fine-tune adaptations for individual student needs.
By automating a time-consuming process, Para Casa Inclusivo ensures that all students receive personalized learning materials, while significantly reducing teachers’ workload. Already supporting 46,000 students and 24,000 teachers in 648 cities in Brazil, we aim to scale globally, making inclusive education accessible at scale.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Para Casa Inclusivo serves teachers and students in public schools, especially those with disabilities, neurodivergence, and learning difficulties. These students often lack accessible materials, making it harder to engage and succeed in school. Our research shows that teachers typically adapt activities for six students per class, with three neurodivergent students on average, yet 56% of educators have never received training on how to make adaptations.
By providing AI-powered accessibility tools, the platform empowers teachers to create personalized learning experiences without requiring advanced expertise. This significantly improves student comprehension, engagement, and academic success, reducing learning gaps and educational exclusion.
For schools and education systems, Para Casa Inclusivo ensures scalability, making inclusive education possible in low-resource environments. Already benefiting 46,000 students and 24,000 teachers in 648 Brazilian cities, our goal is to scale globally, ensuring every student has the materials they need to thrive.
