What specific problem are you solving?
Millions of Gulf Cooperation Council, European, and North American Jordanian expatriates endure long delays, exorbitant fees, and complex procedures to repatriate remittances to Jordan. We only attempted to remit a remittance to a worker in Dubai very recently, and the process was expensive, time-consuming, and tedious with numerous steps to make only one remittance.
The traditional remittance networks are extremely costly, with poor exchange rates, and long verifications. The majority of migrant workers utilize informal channels and lose money through fraud, delay, or total loss. During emergencies—such as doctor visits or school fees—such delays can be catastrophic.
Exorbitant fees eat into the earnings that families use for basic needs, savings, and education, repeating financial vulnerability cycles. Despite remittances equivalent to 9% of Jordan's GDP, MENA region fees are among the highest, which limits possible effect. Numerous Jordanians are also unbanked, closing them off from formal remittance channels.
Dinarak responds to these issues with a Sharia-compliant, low-cost, real-time cross-border remittance service. By leveraging Aysar's cutting-edge technology along with ZAMZAM's global agent network, Dinarak offers safe, fast, and affordable money transfers—thereby empowering migrant workers and enabling financial inclusion for poor families in Jordan.
