Access to quality education remains a major challenge for millions of students across Africa, particularly in underserved and marginalized communities. Over 98 million children in Sub-Saharan Africa are out of school, with many facing barriers such as inadequate infrastructure, teacher shortages, and high learning costs. Globally, 244 million children and youth are not receiving an education, exacerbating poverty and inequality.
A key factor contributing to this crisis is the lack of accessible and affordable educational resources. Many students lack access to qualified teachers, reliable internet, and modern learning tools. Our solution directly addresses these challenges by leveraging AI and mobile technology to deliver high-quality, interactive learning experiences, ensuring that students, especially in remote areas, can access education anytime, anywhere.

Our solution is MetaSchool AI, an AI-powered learning platform that provides students with interactive, high-quality education through mobile technology. It allows students to access video lessons, AI tutoring, and past exam questions, helping them learn at their own pace.
Using AI, students can ask the platform to explain complex topics in real-time while watching educational videos. The system also personalizes learning paths based on student progress, ensuring they focus on areas that need improvement. Our partnership with MTN, Africa’s largest telecom provider, enables seamless access by bundling our subscription into data plans, making education more affordable and accessible, especially for students in underserved communities.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our target population consists of students in underserved communities across Africa who lack access to quality education due to financial barriers, inadequate learning resources, and limited connectivity. Many of these students rely on outdated textbooks, overcrowded classrooms, and inconsistent teaching quality, making it difficult for them to compete academically.
MetaSchool AI directly addresses these challenges by providing affordable, AI-powered learning tools that offer personalized tutoring, video lessons, and exam preparation. Through our partnership with MTN, we integrate our platform into mobile data plans, ensuring students can access educational content without high internet costs.
