What specific problem are you solving?
The world produces 400 million tons of plastic waste annually, but only 14% is recycled, leaving municipalities and corporations with expensive, unsustainable options like landfilling and incineration, which contribute to carbon emissions and environmental degradation. Simultaneously, cement, steel, and clay production drive 16% of global emissions, yet the demand for sustainable building materials far exceeds supply.
This challenge impacts municipalities, corporations, and the construction industry:
• Municipalities struggle with rising landfill costs, limited land availability, and incineration infrastructure.
• Real estate developers and contractors face higher emissions, increasing carbon taxes, lower green certification scores, and reduced property values.
• Building materials manufacturers must adapt to carbon regulations and market shifts to remain competitive.
Current solutions—carbon credits, energy efficiency, and incremental green improvements—fail to address the root problem at scale. With 92% of global GDP aligned with net-zero goals, increasing carbon taxes, and over 328,000 green-certified buildings worldwide, the demand for innovative, low-carbon building materials is urgent. The momentum for sustainable solutions is now, and disruptive, scalable technologies are critical to solving the dual crisis of plastic waste and high-emission construction materials.
What is your solution?
TileGreen has developed TG1.0, a patented, machine-learning-based thermomechanical technology that transforms unrecyclable plastic waste into circular, cost-effective, and durable building materials. Our proprietary Re-PAC (Recycled-Polymer-Aggregate-Composite) material replaces concrete, wood, clay, and metal in non-structural applications. Unlike traditional materials, Re-PAC doesn’t crack, rot, rust, or erode, making it a superior, long-lasting alternative.
Re-PAC is carbon-negative, recyclable, and cost-efficient—offering high-performance properties at no green premium. It can be used for hardscape, outdoor furniture, fencing, roofing, and even affordable housing, unlocking over 100 sustainable product applications.
Our first market entry product—TileGreen interlocking tiles—replaces cement-based pavers. These tiles are 10-15% lighter, fully cement-free, and cut CO₂ emissions by 75% compared to concrete tiles. The production process saves 62% of energy, 35% of water, and eliminates 99% of curing time, proving the scalability and efficiency of our technology.
TileGreen is not just a product—it’s a platform revolutionizing green construction by turning plastic waste into sustainable, high-performance building materials at scale.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
TileGreen is redefining waste management and sustainable construction by transforming all types of unrecyclable plastic waste into carbon-negative, high-performance building materials. Our thermomechanical process eliminates the need for sorting, pre-processing, and high-cost disposal, turning landfill-bound plastics into valuable materials.
Three Pillars of Our Solution:
1))Environmental Impact
**Carbon-negative: Every unit of our Re-PAC material removes plastic waste from the environment.
**Energy & water-efficient manufacturing compared to conventional materials.
2))Superior Technical Performance
**Stronger and more durable than concrete, steel, clay, or wood.
**Resistant to cracking, rotting, rusting, and erosion, making it ideal for 100+ applications.
3))Economic Viability
**Premium performance at standard market prices, making sustainable choices affordable.
**Lower lifetime cost due to increased durability and zero maintenance needs.
This scalable, circular solution bridges the gap between plastic waste management and green construction, positioning TileGreen as a global leader in carbon-negative materials.
