Canada’s nonprofit sector plays a vital role in addressing social challenges, yet many organizations are stretched thin, and stuck in scarcity loops. In 2023, 46% of nonprofits experienced a surge in demand, but only 24% could meet it. With 91% of nonprofits operating in small teams, leaders are forced to juggle multiple responsibilities—fundraising, operations, program delivery—without the necessary support structures. These limitations create inefficiencies, slow innovation, and prevent organizations from maximizing their impact. The digital divide further compounds these challenges. Many nonprofits lack access to affordable, tailored digital solutions, making it difficult to streamline operations, measure impact, and adapt to evolving needs. In 2024, only 14% of nonprofits in Canada consider themselves successful in integrating digital skills. Without modern tools, organizations are stuck in reactive cycles, overburdened by administrative work and unable to focus on strategic growth. We seek to support this sector to bring about social innovation and change, empowering communities that need it the most. We are also keen on supporting this sector, as more than 70% of its workforce are women and gender-diverse individuals. We believe digital evolution is urgent, in Canada and eventually globally, for a social impact sector that thrives in today’s tumultuous times.

Our solution is a user-friendly, customizable, AI-powered and comprehensive management platform, built specifically for small and medium nonprofits, and offered alongside capacity building and support. Anqido bridges the future of work with the mission of doing good—empowering nonprofits to innovate, collaborate, and thrive. Nonprofit teams will now have a customized workspace that allows them to collaborate efficiently, share resources, track progress, and measure impact. Whether it’s planning a project, managing finances, fundraising, or communicating with donors, Anqido makes these tasks simpler and more effective. Each organization’s needs are unique, so Anqido is customizable. It includes resources, templates, and tips to help teams build their skills and improve operations. We also plan to design and offer educational resources: self-paced learning or group sessions, aimed to build nonprofits’s digital capacity. As teams work on activities, they can input data—like photos, feedback, and costs—right from their phones, making it easier to track and measure outputs & outcomes. Once an activity is completed, Anqido automatically compiles the information into reports and communication content. By integrating essential tools for HR, financial management, and fundraising, Anqido supports nonprofits to become more efficient, collaborative, and impactful.

Our solution serves small to medium-sized nonprofits across Canada, the USA, and other countries, with annual budgets below $5M. These organizations are led by professionals who are focused on creating social impact, particularly in sectors like social justice, education, services and community development. Many of these nonprofits are under-resourced and face challenges in adapting to digital transformation, managing data, and measuring their impact. We specifically aim to support organizations led by underrepresented groups, including Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities. As the socio-political context is rapidly shifting, the sector will need to face shifting funding and policy priorities and increased vulnerabilities. The social innovators today need to adapt quickly and strategically. Our platform helps these nonprofits streamline operations, enhance collaboration, and build capacity, enabling them to focus more effectively on their mission and create lasting, meaningful change.
