What specific problem are you solving?
B.O.T is addressing the youth unemployment crisis in Lebanon and Jordan, where 64% of youth in Lebanon are underemployed, and 48.1% of youth in Jordan face unemployment. Women are disproportionately affected, with more than 57% of underemployed youth in Lebanon being women, and Jordan’s female labor force participation is just 14%, one of the lowest globally. These local figures reflect a broader issue of limited access to education, training, and job opportunities—especially for youth in remote, low-income areas worldwide — compounded by challenges like mixed digital literacy, unstructured training, and limited access to necessary equipment and internet connectivity. At the same time, the demand for high-quality digital services, including data labeling for AI, data collection, and processing, is rapidly growing. Organizations—including AI companies, NGOs, research institutions, and businesses—require affordable, high-quality, and unbiased datasets but struggle to find cost-effective and reliable workforce solutions.
What is your solution?
Our solution is a hybrid model that combines professional outsourcing services with a scalable employment platform for underserved communities, particularly women. We operate through two proprietary platforms: 1. A Project, Talent, and Impact Management Platform that manages workforce deployment, project execution, payments, and tracks social impact metrics. 2. A mobile-accessible Data Labeling Platform that enables youth to annotate data via smartphones or tablets, making it inclusive for those without access to computers. Youth are trained in digital and soft skills, provided with necessary infrastructure (devices and internet access), and then matched with remote or on-field data projects. Clients benefit from secure, affordable, and ethically sourced data services that comply with international standards like GDPR and ISO 27001 (certification in progress). B.O.T’s tech infrastructure allows us to scale efficiently while delivering both business value to clients and measurable social impact to the communities we serve. Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
B.O.T serves youth in Lebanon and Jordan, with a focus on those from remote, low-income, and underprivileged backgrounds. This includes youth who are underemployed or unemployed, particularly women, who face significant barriers to accessing education, training, and job opportunities. Many of these individuals lack the digital skills and infrastructure needed to participate in the growing digital economy, leaving them disconnected from job markets and economic opportunities. We then connect them to their first jobs in the data services industry, where they can earn fair wages and work in safe conditions. This opportunity gives them sustainable livelihoods, empowers them economically, and helps break the cycle of poverty. There are 3,469 beneficiaries registered with B.O.T. 1,800 were connected to job opportunities and earned income, 7,000+ were trained by B.O.T and its partner NGO DOT Lebanon.
