What specific problem are you solving?
Millions of social organizations in Latin America face structural barriers to achieving financial sustainability. Despite leading critical solutions in poverty, health access, education, and inclusion, these organizations rely on unstable and poorly diversified funding sources. In the region, less than 15% of NGOs receive regular individual donations, and many lack the digital tools to make it possible. Low trust in institutions, informal management practices, and a lack of accessible technology limit their ability to generate recurring revenue. At a regional level, this affects over 5 million people who depend directly on the services provided by these organizations. The digital divide and lack of technical infrastructure worsen the situation: many NGOs cannot access efficient payment gateways, donor segmentation, or campaign automation. This disconnect between technology and social purpose jeopardizes their sustainability and long-term impact.
What is your solution?
Donar Online is a digital platform designed to strengthen the financial sustainability of social organizations in Latin America by enabling individual, recurring, and frictionless donations. It allows NGOs to create personalized campaigns, process payments securely in local currencies, and access analytics tools to strengthen donor relationships. Our approach combines accessible technology, automation, and strategic support to professionalize fundraising management, even for grassroots organizations. Through integrations with multiple payment methods, smart reminders, and audience segmentation, we aim to boost conversion rates, donor loyalty, and donation volume. We currently work with over 9,000 organizations in seven countries—Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, and Colombia—processing thousands of donations every month. Our solution is locally adapted, enhancing transparency and reducing the technical and economic barriers that prevent NGOs from growing and sustaining their impact.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Our solution directly benefits over 9,000 social organizations in Latin America that face structural challenges in sustaining their work. Many are small or mid-sized NGOs operating in vulnerable contexts, with limited staff and scarce technical or financial resources. These organizations are often underserved by traditional banking systems and excluded from tech solutions suited to their realities. By offering a secure, accessible, and fundraising-focused platform, Donar Online helps NGOs professionalize their operations, access recurring donations, and build sustainable donor relationships. The impact multiplies: by improving financial sustainability, NGOs can better deliver critical services in education, health, food security, inclusion, and human rights. Indirectly, this enhances the lives of millions of people in vulnerable situations who rely on their work.
