What specific problem are you solving?
Gaming is Rezilience serves Indigenous students and their communities, especially those navigating challenges in education and underrepresentation in STEM. Many are first-generation college students from rural or tribal areas who face systemic barriers and a lack of access to resources—part of a broader digital divide that leaves Native individuals making up less than 1% of the tech industry. Through a culturally grounded, community-first approach, Gaming is Rezilience uses gaming as a tool to build technical skills, cultural confidence, and lasting connections. Our programs—centered on esports, coding, and digital storytelling—incorporate Indigenous Ways of Knowing to make learning both relevant and empowering. We also tackle social issues like racism and harassment in gaming spaces, working directly with students, tribal nations, and partner organizations to create solutions informed by those most impacted. Whether through workshops, tournaments, or educational events, Gaming is Rezilience uplifts Indigenous students academically, culturally, and professionally.
