What specific problem are you solving?
Half the world lacks access to comprehensive health services, and two billion people face financial hardship from healthcare costs. Traditional diagnostics are constrained to medical settings, which account for just 1% of our time. In contrast, 99% of early health signs—especially for chronic and neurologic conditions—emerge in life settings, yet often go undetected.
BioTrillion addresses this gap by democratizing access to early health insights using the HealthySelfie: a 10-second video selfie analyzed via BioEngine4D, an AI-driven digital biomarker platform. This addresses disparities in early disease detection by eliminating the need for clinical devices or in-person visits.
The global proliferation of smartphones (5B+ users) enables us to scale access to vital sign monitoring—heart rate, blood oxygen, pupil dilation, hand tremor, and eye tremor—making preventive and personalized care more inclusive, proactive, and cost-efficient.
What is your solution?
HealthySelfie is a mobile app powered by BioEngine4D, a patented digital biomarker platform. It transforms a user’s smartphone into a health diagnostic tool by measuring 5 core vital signs—commonly used in clinical settings—from just a 10-second selfie video.
Using advanced computer vision, ARKit, and machine learning, the app processes facial micro-movements, eye saccades, and light-pupil responses to derive time-series biometric data. This data is uploaded to a HIPAA-compliant cloud system (AWS) for real-time analysis, achieving an average accuracy of over 91% across biomarkers.
This SDK is enterprise-scalable across pharma (clinical trials), payors (risk stratification), and telehealth (remote care). No additional hardware is required, unlocking massive reach across low-resource settings. The result: scalable, early-stage disease insights without the traditional barriers of access, infrastructure, or cost.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
HealthySelfie directly serves underserved populations, particularly those in low- and middle-income regions who lack access to routine healthcare, diagnostic equipment, or proximity to providers. These groups are often excluded from early diagnosis, preventive care, and clinical trial participation due to systemic cost, location, or workforce constraints.
Our solution provides them with clinical-grade health insights using only their existing smartphones. By simply capturing a 10-second selfie video, users can assess key health vitals, heart, lung, and brain indicators, and track their trends over time. This enables early detection, timely intervention, and more informed healthcare decisions without leaving home.
For health systems, this increases diagnostic reach and resilience. For pharmaceutical companies, it enables decentralized clinical trials and real-world data. For payors, it empowers remote health risk assessments with real-time biometrics.
