What specific problem are you solving?
Writing research papers is an important facet of the modern world of academia. However, often underprivileged and underrepresented students are unable to participate in quality research programs because of location, expenses, or selectivity of these opportunities. This is a problem that students face all over the world. Doing research in high school is also quite significant; as Forbes claims, “participating in research can also give students a competitive edge when applying to college” (Moon). An edge many underprivileged students don’t have because of limited research opportunities, something Rezearch 4 All plans to fix.
What is your solution?
Rezearch 4 All solves the UN SDG Goal 4, specifically Goal 4.3, which is to “Ensure equal access for all to affordable and quality technical, vocational, and tertiary education,” as we provide 3 free research programs, one for AI, STEM, and the Humanities, to underprivileged students online, through our self-paced course (made through Coassemble). These self-paced courses included animated videos (created with Canva) explaining the research process in a fun and engaging way. Not to mention, every once a week, we offer mentor-led online sessions where students can drop in and ask questions. Students are free to ask questions on their program-specific Microsoft Teams channel if they don't feel comfortable asking in a virtual meeting. After completing their project, our students have the opportunity to publish their papers in our journal for free or join one of our free workshops on the process of reviewing and submitting to more selective journals. The usage of these online platforms and tools makes Rezearch 4 All easily accessible, so we are able to become an inclusive community for students all across the world.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Rezearch 4 All's solution assists students from all over the world in conducting quality, research projects. Our solution helps them in this endeavor with no cost, meaning these students get the opportunity to conduct their own research projects without any financial burden or stress. Our program, being self-paced, allows our students to work at their own pace and complete their projects when they feel ready. Rezearch 4 All’s goal is to bring the joy and pride of research to all students. This can help our students in their higher education because they would come in with research experience.
