Patients who experience chronic fatigue and autoimmune symptoms or recover from viral illnesses frequently do not have sustained practical support outside of clinical environments. The situation becomes most prevalent among older adults as well as individuals living in rural areas and those who have restricted health literacy. According to the WHO approximately one-third of the global population does not receive standard access to essential health services. Most available hydrogen therapy products provide brief oxidative stress relief yet fail to provide adequate instructions for users. Patients find themselves uncertain about proper product usage which results in inconsistent or incorrect use of these products. Our solution focuses on the gap between medical care and home health practices with the issue of the absence of easy-to-use, sustained solutions that patients can implement independently.

The HydroHealth Companion system consists of a daily hydrogen capsule with a portable AI assistant. The capsule provides a high concentration of hydrogen for a long time with little effort from the user. The digital assistant, which can be accessed through a phone or browser, helps the user learn how to take the capsule, track symptoms, and develop safer health habits. The system is text and voice-enabled, which makes it easier for older adults and those with limited literacy to use. Our goal is to provide reliable support between clinic visits, through both a physical product and an informative, user-friendly digital interface.
