What specific problem are you solving?
Early childhood education in Nigeria is a critical foundation for a child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development. However, the system faces numerous challenges that hinder its effectiveness and leave many children at a disadvantage. For many young learners, the curriculum is overly complex and disconnected from how children naturally think and learn, making it difficult for them to grasp foundational concepts like literacy and numeracy. This often leads to disengagement and poor retention of knowledge.
What is your solution?
Codex Learn is an innovative educational platform designed to transform how children in Nigeria access and experience basic education. Tailored for learners in Years 1 to 9, the platform simplifies the national curriculum into interactive, animated lessons using virtual instructors, catchy visuals, and relatable examples. Codex Learn focuses on four key subjects namely; Mathematics, English Language, Civic Education, and Basic Science - to help both in-school and out-of-school children grasp complex concepts with clarity and confidence. The lessons are delivered in easy-to-understand language, making learning not just effective but also fun, while encouraging independent thinking. Using animation and storytelling, Codex Learn delivers step-by-step explanations that bring classroom content to life in an engaging, easy-to-understand way. The platform is currently web-based, with plans to launch a mobile app that will support offline video downloads - ensuring accessibility to quality education regardless of internet availability or location.
