What specific problem are you solving?
Healthcare systems globally are overwhelmed by rising demand for movement-related care and a critical shortage of skilled professionals. In North America alone, physical therapy unemployment is under 0.2%, while 1M+ new seniors join the population annually. Traditional physical assessments require expensive labs, trained staff, and manual processes—making them inaccessible for many. In underserved and aging communities, this leads to delays, misdiagnoses, low compliance, and preventable injuries—costing healthcare systems billions. Over $30B CAD is spent annually on preventable injuries in Canada alone.
What is your solution?
Parados solves this by using a combination of large language models (LLMs) and computer vision (CV) to automate intake, screening, assessment, monitoring, research support, and communication—delivering asynchronous, on-demand physical care via any device with a camera. Parados is the world’s first Large Movement Model, a camera-based AI assistant that uses computer vision and LLMs to automate key aspects of movement care. It captures and analyzes functional movements through simple videos—no suits, sensors, or specialized hardware required. The platform generates objective, visualized data and intuitive reports to support care professionals in therapy, performance, and ergonomics. It automates intake, screening, assessments, and monitoring, while supporting on-demand research, communication, and admin workflows. Patients receive early, accessible, personalized care from anywhere. Experts save time and improve engagement through automated insights and decision support. Organizations like pro sports teams, universities, and federal police are already piloting the solution to cut costs and increase capacity.
Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?
Parados directly serves health professionals, researchers, and patients—especially in high-demand or underserved contexts like rural care, education, and first responder agencies. Experts benefit from automated admin, faster onboarding, better compliance tracking, and flexible work options. Patients benefit from faster access, personalized assessments, and improved continuity of care. Organizations gain data-backed decisions, cost savings, and scalable care delivery. For example, our pilots consistently reduced travel time and expenses while improving early issue detection. In therapy clinics, the tool reduces dropout rates by up to 50% through early engagement and frequent remote touchpoints. Parados helps build capacity without adding headcount, democratizing high-quality movement care for all.
