Mtamu is an impact design enthusiast, passionate about a more equitable and just Africa. He is a firm believer in the potential and power of design processes and products to promote economic stimuli. He is a Co-Founder and CEO of MycoTile, which offers advanced building materials that are locally manufactured, using readily available agricultural waste and rapidly growing mushroom mycelium as a bonding agent. He is an alumnus of the African Design Centre in Kigali, a fellowship program by MASS Design Group, a graduate of the University of Nairobi and a licensed architect in Kenya.
