Agnes Johan is heading the Blended Finance team at Rabo Partnerships B.V., a dedicated entity within the Rabobank Group, active in Advisory, Investments and Impact Finance. She is an agricultural economist from Wageningen University and has over 15 yrs banking experience within the Agri Trade and Commodity Finance.

In her current role, she focuses on using blended finance as a tool to unlock finance for the high risk complex parts of the agri supply chain. She seeks structural instruments and methods with the aim to embed and scale blended finance solutions within commercial banks.

She has been part of the team that set up the AGRI3 fund, dedicated to combat deforestation, increase sustainable agriculture and improve rural livelihoods. And she is structuring transactions with F&A clients and impact funds like AGRI3, which combine the risk sharing element with the positive environmental and social impact. Agnes is a member of the Investment Committee of the Rabo Rural Fund, a social impact lender fund.
