As Executive Chairman of Future Planet Capital Douglas is focused on connecting large investors, including sovereign wealth funds, with impactful, hard-to-access opportunities in technology and life sciences.

He has a background in senior managerial positions at firms including Robeco Middle East, (CEO - ME, Africa & Central Asia), bfinance (Board Advisor and CEO - ME, Africa and Central Asia) and ABN AMRO Asset Management (Far East, Global & Regional leadership positions). Throughout his career, Douglas has led or worked with teams that have raised and invested more than $12bn.

Aside from commercial projects, Douglas sits on the Advisory Board of the Oxford Sciences Innovation, on the Rwandan Cricket Stadium Fund, on the Jesus College, Oxford, Campaign Board and on the Committee of the Poppy Ball. He is a Global Representative of Conservatives Abroad and stood as a Parliamentary Candidate in a UK General Election.

He maintains a strong interest in the key themes of emerging market and impact investing and holds a firm belief in the positive power of profit - investing for good can also be good investing.
