Elisabeth B. Reynolds

Executive Director, MIT Work of the Future Initiative

Dr. Elisabeth Reynolds is Executive Director of the MIT Industrial Performance Center (IPC) and a Lecturer in MIT’s Department of Urban Studies. Her work focuses on systems of innovation, regional economic development and industrial competitiveness. Her current research focuses on advanced manufacturing, growing innovative companies to scale, and building innovation capacity in emerging economies. She is Executive Director of the recently announced MIT Work of the Future initiative, co-led with Professors David Mindell and David Autor. Before coming to MIT for her Ph.D., Liz was the Director of the City Advisory Practice at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), a non-profit founded by Professor Michael Porter of HBS focused on job and business growth in in older industrial cities. She is a board member of the Massachusetts Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative and the Northeast Clean Energy Council.
