Jennifer Strong covers the impact of emerging technologies on the way we live and work. She previously led long-form audio for The Wall Street Journal where she created and hosted The Future of Everything podcast — a 2019 Webby nominee for Best Tech Podcast, 2019 iHeartRadio finalist for Best Science and Tech Podcast, and winner of the 2018 Excellence in Financial Journalism Award for audio at a large media institution.
Strong is a co-chair of the AI for Good Global Summit’s education track and strategy lab dedicated to helping train journalists to cover artificial intelligence. She is a 2019 Goldschmidt Fellow for data journalism, which includes on-site immersion training in government data at the Federal Reserve, Congressional Budget Office, and several federal agencies.
Over the last twenty years Strong’s reporting has been heard on a variety of public radio stations, programs and networks, including NPR, PRI, the BBC and Marketplace. She anchored The Wall Street Journal Radio Network on CBS and XM, hosted WSJ’s first tech podcast in 2005, and was a producer of NPR’s Motley Fool Radio Show.
Strong has a graduate degree in international affairs journalism from American University and completed two Knight Science Journalism boot camps at MIT, on neuroscience and nanotechnology.
