Jenny Zhao

Former Senior Digital Marketing Officer, MIT Solve

Jenny Zhao was Senior Digital Marketing Officer for MIT Solve. She led Solve's digital marketing, inbound marketing, website development and product management, as well as trademark enforcement and legal matters. She also served on Solve's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion task force. Solve is a marketplace for social impact innovation with a mission to solve world challenges, ranging from climate change in coastal communities to racial justice in the US. An initiative of the President of MIT, Solve opens MIT’s renowned innovation ecosystem to social entrepreneurs around the world.

Jenny brings together her skills in digital marketing, creative design, user experience, and software product management to build brands that drive social and environmental change. As Director of Digital Marketing for Clover Food Lab, she led the first digital campaigns for this experimental fast casual chain, advancing its mission to fight climate change by building a better food future. Before Clover she was Product Marketing Manager at ENGIE Impact, a clean energy and sustainability management company created to lead the sustainability transformation for corporations, cities, and governments. She also has agency experience with small and mid-sized full-service marketing agencies in Boston and New York.

Jenny holds a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies with a concentration in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College. In her free time, she is a wildlife photographer and Instagram influencer with over 18K followers on Instagram @rogerandjennyphotography, capturing powerful photos from her travels locally and internationally to shine a light on wildlife conservation. Her work has been published in National Geographic, BBC Earth, BBC News, Sony Alpha, Smithsonian Magazine, Siena International Photo Awards, Africa Geo Magazine, Cape Cod Travel Guide Magazine, and more.
