Léa Gejer

Founder, Flock and Ideia Circular

Brazil

Léa is an architect and urban planner passionate about circular economy and Cradle to Cradle. As a pioneer in Brazil, she has worked in important national and international partnerships for the arouse of CE locally. At the same time, she has applied circularity into her design practice, as a way to create demand and lead innovation and awareness to the sector.

At her office Flock, which represents EPEA GmbH, she has been working towards the implementation of C2C in companies and products, while leading projects such as a regeneration design for Sao Paulo city and the first circular house - Casa Circular - built in South America.

She has also co-created Ideia Circular, an online platform for the discussion and dissemination of CE in Portuguese. Ideia Circular has launched an online training about CE, a tool that has allowed her to spread these ideas for several entrepreneurs, designers and companies all over Brazil.

Moreover, she is a founder member of the CE Platform of the Americas, which aims to scale up CE for the whole continent.

In 2019, she received a ‘highly commended’ award from The Circulars 2019 jury for the Leadership category, as a recognition for her work. The award is an initiative from the World Economic Forum and the Forum of Young Global Leaders.
