Dr. Nalini Saligram
Founder & CEO, Arogya World
Dr. Nalini Saligram is founder and CEO of Arogya World, a global health non-profit committed to changing the course of chronic disease. Arogya World designs and implements scalable, science-based diabetes prevention programs in Indian schools, workplaces, and the community, including mDiabetes, the groundbreaking 1-million-person diabetes prevention mHealth program. Arogya has recognized 79 companies as Healthy Workplaces, impacting the lives of 2 million employees. The organization also developed myArogya, a mobile app for chronic disease prevention for working Indians. Dr. Saligram is an Ashoka Fellow, has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, serves on the Dean’s Council at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, and is a charter member of TiE Midwest. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Taskforce on Women and NCDs, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Alliance for Food and Health. She is based in Chicago and Bangalore.
