Phyllis Heydt

Vice President, Office of the U.N. S­pecial Envoy for Health and the Global Health Alliance

Phyllis Heydt is a Vice-President at the Office of the U.N. S­pecial Envoy for Health, and the Global Health Alliance. She focuses on frontline health delivery systems. As part of her current role she co-founded the Aspen Management Partnership for Health and co-chairs its Advisory Board, and co-founded the Financing Alliance for Health. Phyllis previously worked in the Strategy Team at the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria, and as an Engagement Manager in McKinsey’s healthcare practice in Germany and London.

Phyllis is passionate not only about health care delivery and performance overall, but also has a particular interest in health access issues and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. She co-founded and is a board member of Discovering Hands, an award-winning international social healthcare enterprise based in Germany. (www.discovering-hands.de). Phyllis holds a Masters of Economics and Business from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland, and a Masters in International Health Policy and Health Economics from the London School of Economics.
