Asia Director, Octava Foundation

Raman stewards the Regional Portfolio at Octava Foundation ,focusing on investing in education, social innovation and technology enabled learning . She also advises the Foundation’s board on strategic projects and investment strategy.

Before joining Octava, she served as Global Director at Lorinet Foundation, a private family foundation, where she developed Lorinet’s index Early Childhood Education programme for Mongolia.

A passionate advocate of venture philanthropy and collective impact, Raman firmly believes in the potential of private capital collaborating with businesses, public, social purpose sectors to enable sustainable and just societies. While starting her professional journey in the private sector working across UK, India and Singapore, she has spent the past decade in the practice of venture philanthropy, working with diverse funders, foundations and social purpose organisations in furthering their impact.

Raman holds an MBA from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen UK and a BA in Commerce and Accounting from Delhi University.
