Sue Kim

Head, Global Partnerships and Philanthropy, MIT Solve

Sue Kim is the Head of Global Partnerships and Philanthropy at Solve, an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sue oversees global partnerships, cross-sector collaborations, business development, fundraising strategy, and revenue generation from international and domestic partners. Sue holds a deep commitment to maintaining strong relationships with foundations, corporations, and leaders, who, like Solve, believe in leveraging open innovation to solve the most pressing global challenges.  

Prior to joining Solve, Sue held executive positions in mission-driven organizations including Harvard University, the Winsor School, Boston Children’s Museum, and the Red Cross, as well as international foundations and grassroots organizations. Over the course of her 25+ years of international leadership experience, Sue served on numerous boards, worked in international disaster relief and crisis management, received academic and professional fellowships, and was awarded the Educator of the Year Award.

Sue holds a master’s degree in Education focusing on Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s in International Relations and English Literature from Boston University.
