Thomas Davin

Director, UNICEF Office of Innovation

Thomas Davin is Director, UNICEF Office of Global Innovation. He has twenty years of experience in strategic planning, and evidence-based policy and programme design. Prior to taking up his current position, he was UNICEF Thailand Representative and was previously UNICEF Representative in Algeria.


Prior to that, Mr. Davin worked as Regional Chief for Disaster Preparedness, Resilience Building and Emergency Response for UNICEF Regional Office for the Middle East and Northern Africa Region (MENARO) and as Deputy Representative UNICEF Djibouti before that. Before joining UNICEF, he worked with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the OSCE, IRC and a few community-based French NGOs in Kosovo, Romania, Burkina Faso and France.


Mr. Davin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Political Science. He was appointed Director, Office of Global Innovation effective 1 November 2020.
He is a French national and is married with two children.
