Mr. Wenchi Chen has been Chief Executive Officer of VIA Technologies, Inc. since 1992 and Chairman since 2016. Under Mr. Chen’s visionary leadership, VIA has leveraged its deep silicon technology design expertise to transform itself into a global leader in the development of cutting-edge platform and system solutions for M2M, IoT, and Smart City applications, ranging from video walls and digital signage to healthcare and industrial automation. Mr. Chen was selected as a top entrepreneur by BusinessWeek in its “The Stars of Asia: 50 Leaders at the Forefront of Change”. A graduate of National Taiwan University and the California Institute of Technology, Mr. Chen also serves on the Board of Directors of HTC Corp. and TVB Ltd, and is advisor to a growing number of hi-tech companies and startups; he is also on the Board of prestigious engineering schools Caltech, ShanghaiTech and UC Berkeley College of Engineering.
