Estimado Luis, soy Juan José Giraldo-Huertas, profesor del Departamento de Desarrollo y Educación de la Universidad de la Sabana en Colombia. Participé en el SOLVE del MIT y me alegra ver que su solución fue una de las elegidas para continuar en el proceso. Actualmente trabajo con una cartilla que administran padres, madres o cuidadores de niños entre 2 y 5 años de edad para motivar y registrar el screening general del desarrollo cuando sus hijos están en riesgo de no alcanzar todo su potencial. La cartilla es administrada por los cuidadores y familiares durante 1 mes. Estoy terminando mi Tesis doctoral en la University of Reading (UK) con los resultados obtenidos en una muestra pequeña de participantes y espero obtener más resultados en los próximos meses. Estoy muy interesado en saber más de KINEDU y en especial en saber los alcances que puede llegar a tener la aplicación con un modelo dirigido a ser adquirido por instituciones infantiles de bajos recursos. Es decir, que pueda tener un administrador que permita el acceso y control para varios usuarios. O algo parecido, la verdad he estado más centrado en los logros y posibilidades del screening que en el modelo de negocio (eso creo que sí es de tu interés y conocimiento).

In your presentation Sunday, it would be great to have more details about the low income families/caregivers you are serving and how you are planning to grow that number in the next year or more distant future. In other words, a clear connection between this solution and the "millions of young children [that] are under the care of adults who don’t know that this is a critical period for brain development or are not sure how to brain-build with everyday interactions," and, more importantly, the "almost 40% preschool age children did not attend school due to issues with coverage" will make your solution much stronger.

When my son was about a month old, I noticed that he was very alert and observant and I wanted to take advantage of this early. I am a first time mom but from what I know about child psychology, I knew that time was on my side to dedicate to him and use his eagerness productively. We have been using Kinedu daily and he is three months now and I am so proud of him and his progression. He is bright, happy to do the activities, he listens well and communicates beautifully. I have introduced my caregivers to Kinedu as well and in the evenings after work we do activities too to be sure we stay on track with this progress. The activities are easy to follow and practical for the modern family. I'm so grateful that I found out about Kinedu.
