Basic Information

Our tagline:

An essential platform for patient care through patient to patient communication.

Our pitch:

Problem:

Diseases such as Cancer or heart attach creates sudden panic after for the whole family the moment they get to know about themselves or any other member of their family is facing such issues. In the moments of panic first thing comes to our brain is to find someone who already had this terrible disease in the fast. There are few reasons behind that.

  • When the patient talks to another patient going through similar pain. It makes then feel connected emotionally with that patient.
  • Persons asks about their experiences such as the cost of treatment, good doctors, available drugs and the chance of survival in case of serious diseases viz-triple negative stage4 breast cancer.
  • If the patient who is doing good with their treatment advice current patient it gives them hope that even they can do better.
  • Asking the advice about alternate treatment plans and the chance of better prognosis with those plans (viz. genomic medicine, precision medicine, personalized medicine).
  • They get to know about the precautions and early symptoms and they share these symptoms with each other. This educated the whole family and provides them a handful preventive measures.
  • Sometimes reading the story of the earlier patient as a blog or talking to them in person also provides educate them about financial constraints and suggestive treatment plans.
  • Video and audio always have better touch then textual communication. So when one patient talks to another patient or watches their recorded video their sense of alive conversation makes them emotionally strong.
  • Last but not the least all these diseases have rigorous treatment and during the treatment, the patient goes through lots of ups and downs, emotional time (chemotherapy) and feels separated during that time. This time a person or family members went through this provides them a sense of connecting and the key to handling the treatment and patient.
  • This kind of communication also helps the patients to avoid any misconception or false Tumour regarding the disease already spread.
  • Sometimes two patients middle of the night would not want to disturb their family members while going through thinking of their disease and would love to talk to someone online via chat or some other platform.
  • For the family, they need another family to know how to support such patient from their experience.
  • The family also gets to know about the palliative care of the patient is terminally ill.
  • In the end, the medicine is going in such a way where we have to “donate organs ” to “donate data” to provide better medicine through research to coming generations.
  • Sometimes money crunch creates a big problem for underprivileged family and due to lack of knowledge, they are unable to connect through NGOs or other helping societies. Vice versa, NGOs also need a platform where they can study such patients and creates an adapting environment for such patients based on their need and requirements.

About Your Solution

What makes our solution innovative:

This is one of its kind which connects Genomics, public health and patients experience towards any disease. This will generate science of medicine through patients.

How technology is integral to our solution:

The Integral part of the solution would be to find patients similarity  in terms of their social background cost and treatment.

Our solution goals over the next 12 months:

Connect at-least 1000 patients from breast cancer and metal disease to carry our the patient suggested treatment for breast cancer and depression to health NGOs and Scientists working in this area.

Our vision over the next three to five years to grow and scale our solution to affect the lives of more people:

I would like to cover almost all diseased and enrich the platform as global health care solution for patient driven healthcare and attach the platform as essential plug in with healthcare standards.

The key characteristics of the populations who will benefit from our solution in the next 12 months:

  • Child
  • Adult
  • Non-binary
  • Rural
  • Lower

How we will reach and retain our customers or beneficiaries:

We will be contacting NGOs, social media and as a hospital feed back platforms from cancer centers and clinicians working in the area to collect data. It will be identical to patient slam book and in the background through data mining we will be extracting key information.

How many people we are currently serving with our solution:

This is still on the Idea and prototype building stage.

How many people we will be serving with our solution in the 12 months and the next 3 years:

We are planning to serve around 1000 people in 1 st year which might expand up to 1 million by 3 years.

About Your Team

How our solution team is organized:

Non-Profit

How many people work on our solution team:

2

How many years we have been working on our solution:

1-2 years

The skills our solution team has that will enable us to attract the different resources needed to succeed and make an impact:

Healthcare, Genomics, Computer science, artificial intelligence and data mining.

Our revenue model:

Revenue model will depend on donations and NGPs support. Since this is non-profit and will be for general public and analytic information for researchers scientist clinical trail companies will be charged.

Partnership Potential

Why we are applying to Solve:

This is the platform which impact everyone's life each of us go hospital and get panic when require information about treatment doctors and any other related things. Solve will help us to reach out the people to enable us with their idea and requirements so we can add them in the prototype.

The key barriers for our solution:

The key barrier is to reach out the general healthcare concerned people . Researchers and scientist will make it a technical research tool and general people will make it a doctor and drug review system. Its neither but both since it will help both with data integration from patients.

The types of connections and partnerships we would be most interested in if we became Solvers:

  • Peer-to-Peer Networking
  • Organizational Mentorship
  • Connections to the MIT campus
  • Grant Funding
