What specific problem are you solving?

"Power of beauty" Association of cosmetologists of Uzbekistan was established in 2018  as NGO to improve the professional skills and specialization of girls and women.

The lack of decent work in terms of quality and quantity of jobs affects women more than men. It is more difficult for women to find a job, often the employer does not want to hire a woman because of the obligation to pay social benefits – sick leave, child care, etc..
80% of the population of Uzbekistan prefers a man to earn money in the family, and a woman to do household chores and children. 93% of the population supports the view that a woman should perform most household duties, even if her husband does not work.
Preventing gender inequality and restrictions for women in the labor market is a challenge for us. We understand that by limiting the employment of women, who make up almost half of the country's population, we are also limiting the development of our economy.
At the same time, vocational training and employment of girls and women with disabilities is not organized and systematized, which is also one of the most pressing social and socio-economic problems in our country.

What is your solution?

- attracting 40 cosmetology specialists to organize training courses;
