What is the name of your solution?

Developing New Care Economy Among 200 Million Nigerians

Provide a one-line summary of your solution.

We train and deploy caregivers to private homes and hospital across Nigeria, using the web to introduce the new career and help families find carers

What specific problem are you solving?

Jozel Care is leveraging the strength and passion within the vast population of young unemployed persons in Africa's most populous country to develop a new dynamic Care industry in Nigeria. Since inception in 2019, we are pushing to introduce the relatively new Care sector, as new career path for some of the 42% unemployed men and women.

We are also breaking the odds in care support among the population. Most people here never knew they could hire someone to care for their loved ones. The norm had been to quit work or suspend schooling so as to provide such care for family members. We are now helping people to realize the alternative to quitting jobs or suspending schooling.

Through strategic web deployment, people who need helping hands of careers find us even when they aren't searching. So many confess they never new they could get such help. They see our trained and deployed careers as members of their family and the much needed relief.

What is your solution?

We utilize the internet to target potential trainees most of whom are either unemployed or have no passion for what the were previously engaged with. We train them on global care practices while practicalizing local realities. We train both virtually and in person. We then engage them on hands-on internship at health facilities, orphanage homes, elderly homes, and homes for the physically and mentally challenged.

We are presently in pursuit to have a new association and holistic association for the Nigeria care industry. Our proposal targets 2 category of memberships: Caregivers on one hand and Care service provider organizations and training centres on the other hand.

We have crafted a robust carer-family-agency relationship that has proven to be successful and mutually beneficial for all involved in this new phenomenon.

We intend to expand our scope and capacity to reach more people across Nigeria and expand to other West African Countries.
